Happy Sunday all! I love fall, the season of change, -and less humidity here in South Florida – Halleluiah! This weekend I’ve been re-organizing and cleaning up my Pinterest boards, yes making them pretty for all the new products and images that are calling my name [hint, hint.] Anyway, as I was changing and deleting I came across this gorgeous beaded dress by Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Don’t you think? Well, if you may remember, a while back I started blogging about how your , fashion style is a great starting point when decorating your home. Decorating with your favorite fashion style, it makes your space that much more personal. Select your favorite piece of clothing from your closet, choose three colors from it, and if it’s a solid like in this dress, add your choice of accessories to the mix for a more dynamic look. To help in making the selection easier, use a design “mood board” to visualize the look before you buy. Easy peasy!
I was inspired by the simple style in this solid bold orange dress the beads, the model’s hair style and color.

Left – Collection J. Mendel spring 2012
1. I am loving this year’s spring 2012 RTW collection by J. Mendel. Modern with its simplistic lines, but still elegant, chic and sexy. Varied in colors from bright yellows, blues to medium and light greens, to nudes and blacks and whites.
2. How fun is this tea-pot (Mayfair) in bright yellow with contrasting black and white stripes. It’s part of the “PS Stripe Collection” by Paul Smith. To find out more about his designs, please visit the website @ http://www.paulsmith.co.uk
“For Spring 2012 , I was inspired by a romantic kind of nonchalance-an effortless glamour that is always timeless.” -Ralph Lauren
Romantic and feminine and oh so glamorous is evident in this collection. From the daytime wear to the beautifully stunning evening gowns in white, pastel hues and shimmering fabrics to the hand-sewn porcelain and sparkly bead work, these pieces evoke the 1920s sophisticated Art Deco style. Another gorgeous collection from Ralph Lauren that is totally breathtaking! Love, Love, Love!
I know were approaching fall but the spring fashion shows are in September of every year and I couldn’t resist.
There are many ways to draw inspiration for your home decorating, one of them is fashion. It could be from your favorite pair of jeans, a sexy dress to a business suit. Begin with a mood board. What is a mood board? (sample here). Start by collecting pics that interest you and favorite colors as a starting point to your projects. This way you stay focused on your goal. Once you have all your notes, pics together it’s shopping time. If you are starting a project and would like guidance, send me an e-mail, we are here to help you create your beautiful space.

I find great inspiration for decorating interiors spaces through fashion. The texture of the fabrics, the details of the designs on clothes and of course color. All variations of the color purple is trending at the moment, and I love it! Do you love the color purple?
