Mondays Hues: Blue Master Bedroom En-Suite Interior Design Board

Interior Elevation Hand Rendering in Progress….

Here’s is a sneak peek of what I’m working on.  This is a design board of a master bedroom I created a while back.  The look is timeless and sophisticated with a monochromatic color scheme in various shades of blue.  Classic french style infused with a modern flair.  Art is the focal point in the color {Indigo} blue.

Latest Project: Baby Girl Pink Blossoms Mural

Project Baby Girl Hand Painted Mural

Pink Flowers Tree Hand Painted Mural

Hello friends,

I was commissioned several weeks ago to paint a pink blossom mural for a baby girl nursery.  The mommy to be “Loves Pink” and wanted a wall mural of a spring like feeling in the space.  So, a pink blossom tree was the perfect idea.  She was so happy with the final result.  It so satisfying when I am able to deliver the clients vision into fruition. Here is a “sneak peek” of the room.  More pictures coming later this week.

If you would like hand painted mural in your baby’s nursery give me a call, or send me an email.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS:  I’ve been busy with my new venture in watercolor painting, that I have ignored the blog post.  To stay updated with my projects, please stop by my instagram feed and follow along, I find that it’s easier to post images on the fly.

ReStyling and Updates . . .

Hello readers and G’Morning!

New year, new goals

“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.” – Leonardo da Vinci.

New year, new beginnings and new goals. For me, it’s all about simplifying my life this year. Seems like we or (most) of us are tying to one way or another. Social media (twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest) has been a great exposure for my business, (grateful for that) but it can be very addictive, …”addictive”and time consuming. So, this year one of my goals is to cut back and concentrate more on building my business. Another is blogging more regularly, but still keeping it simple. Here are some of the categories:

Monday – Mondays Hues
Wednesday – this that
Thursday – eco-living
Then and Now – as project updates.

Well, that’s it for now.
Check back tomorrow for this years first feature.

Happy Anniversary | One Year of Blogging

It has been one year this month I started blogging.  I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be doing this.  Me, nope, nada. And write a blog even less. But, while reading design blogs I realized how happy and passionate these bloggers where writing about what they love.  I love design too! so I though to myself, self why not? How great would it be just to write (mind you, I am not a pro writer) about beautiful interior spaces and products that I love. So I did just that. I posted my first post. Great! Ah see that didn’t hurt. Then the next, and next.  And then I realized copy write laws. Uh yes.  You could say I stopped blogging and started researching and came across Design Sponge website.  I found all the information (Biz Ladies section )I was looking for and highly recommend it to any person starting a design or any other blog.  Needless to say,  you’re the editor of a blog as soon as you hit the publish button and you need to know the rules.

This will be my 59 post for this year and having several dozen under my belt by far doesn’t make me a pro at this, but I can definitely say I have a little more confidence. :)  I hope to inspire you this coming year as you all have inspired me.  Thank You!

Here’s a little gold and sparkle to set the mood and inspiration for the new year Cheers!!

{Yay one year}

Decor Ideas | Home Office Update

Hello, I hope you all are having a great day.  At the moment I’m working on several rooms that need an organizational boost and on the top of the list is (yes!) my office, it really needs an update.  This is a small office space so changes will be minimal. My goal is to create a comfortable and visually creative space for me with the emphasis on clutter control (I need mental clarity). Lighting is very important in an office space so, this will be the starting point to my idea decor board. I would like to incorporate one of these working table lamps (pics below) from IKEA.  A lot of work still ahead so, off I go web sourcing for products. I love shopping! I’ll keep you posted on my progress. :)

Barometer Work Lamp Ikea $49.99

TIVED Work Lamp $29.99

I love this office space designed by Courtney Hill Interiors.  The beachy color palette she selected here of blues and ivories are very calming which is perfect for hours of work-time. And the nail-head trim, glass knobs gives this space a touch of elegance.
