How to decorate your bedroom (Rustic Glam Style)

Miami Interior Decorator Designer

Rustic Glam Decor Board Proposal for e-Decorating

Hello there! It has been a while since I have posted here on my wordpress blog.  If you follow me on Social Media, you will most likely see me on Instagram my favorite.  So, hop on over to see what I have been up to.  I have also redecorated this blog and added my e-Decorating service “InBox Decorations” page, soon to be up and running.  What is e-Decorating? e-Decorating is a convenient and affordable way for non-local clients to retain my Interior Decorating services virtually online.  It is a great way for the client that is comfortable decorating their spaces but would like guidance in picking the right colors for their home, furnishings, lighting, home decor, furniture placement and much more.  One way to show my clients my design idea for their space is through a design board like the one above.  I also include a shopping list with stoppable links, detailed notes specifying furniture arrangement and if applicable hand drawn renderings or 3D digital renderings.  All communication would be done electronically and using my online studio platform.  But, in the meantime while I update my InBox Decorations page, please follow along on Instagram where I will be posting decorating ideas daily.

Decor Idea Board | Blue Hues

Hello readers!

Trending in colors from summer to fall and into next year, deep blue hues.  I love how the deep blue combo looks with contrasting crisp whites, very nautical perfect for a coastal modern interior space. I put together this decor board a while back and thought I’d share it with you today. Also, I am currently designing a 3D mood board at #Olioboard and will share that with you later this week.  How would you use this color in your home decorating?

Let’s Get Organized! | #OLIOHOP #2

Happy Mood Board Monday + OlioHop + Blog Hop

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I had a little weekend stay-cay at West Palm Beach.  Great time with family and hugh bunch of old friends.  Re-focused on what matters most. :) It was relaxing . . . but back to reality . . .

Today we are Olio hopping and talking about organization and de-cluttering!!

I you have read my post recently, you might remember that I have started creating mood boards or as I call them decor idea boards. The site I have been using is called Olioboard and I love how easy it is to create mood boards in 2D and 3D effects.  The look is really great because you can actually visualize how all the furniture pieces and other elements will look together.  A lot of Interior Designers as well as design enthusiasts are using this site to create their boards.  If you would like to to try it for yourself, it’s pretty easy, all you have to do is sign up, that’s it!  Hop on over to their site to get started, and while your there check out on the community tab to see amazing boards, also weekly contest.  Join the fun today!

Home Office Decorating Ideas

This board is more of a high-end  look, but the idea is there to play with. The design style I chose for this board is contemporary with mid-century modern.  The sparkle in the chandelier + lamp  enhances glam look, while the curves in the Z Gallerie “Eddie” wing chair give it a feminine touch. Do you like? Let me know how I can help you with your decorating needs.

Here are a some organizing tips to keep your home office

TIDY! TIDY! TIDY! including me “muah”

There are so many options when it comes to basic storage solutions, and now more then ever chic and stylish ones. So let’s get started!

Organize areas by:

  1. Writing / computer desk:  Having adequate space can help you keep your space neat and tidy.  Not every home office is created equal.  Some require ample writing and drawing space.  A good average size desk to start with is 35 to 45 inches wide and 25 inches in depth, enough for computer and stationary.
  2. Storage boxes:  I like to use pretty boxes, this is where you can add a touch of your personality. Tip: To keep the room from looking visually cluttered, use no more than three colors throughout the room.
  3. Desk accessories:  This is where your daily stuff stays in order, incoming mail, notes, pencils + pens, etc.
  4. Bulletin Board:  Here is one of my fav, keep your most important must-do notes at eye level. If it’s starring at you, you probably won’t forget!
  5. Trash/Recycling bin: Daily mail can be daunting!  Sort out mail as it comes in, one less thing to think about when cleaning up at end of day.

I will be posting more about organizing throughout this week on my Facebook page, and Pinterest Board and Olioboard. Join in the convo!!

Here are 16 other talented bloggers that use Olioboard to create their mood boards. Hop on over to check out their post on organizing as well! Click on the links below:

Ralph Lauren Spring Collection 2012

“For Spring 2012 , I was inspired by a romantic kind of nonchalance-an effortless glamour that is always timeless.” –Ralph Lauren

Romantic and feminine and oh so glamorous is evident in this collection.  From the daytime wear to the beautifully stunning evening gowns in white, pastel hues and shimmering fabrics to the hand-sewn porcelain and sparkly bead work, these pieces evoke the 1920s sophisticated Art Deco style.  Another gorgeous collection from Ralph Lauren that is totally breathtaking! Love, Love, Love!

I know were approaching fall but the spring fashion shows are in September of every year and I couldn’t resist.

There are many ways to draw inspiration for your home decorating, one of them is fashion. It could be from your favorite pair of jeans, a sexy dress to a business suit.  Begin with a mood board. What is a mood board?  (sample here).  Start by collecting pics that interest you and favorite colors as a starting point to your projects.  This way you stay focused on your goal. Once you have all your notes, pics together it’s shopping time.  If you are starting a project and would like guidance, send me an e-mail, we are here to help you create your beautiful space.
