What a crazy winter weather up north, hope everyone is warm and safe in their homes with loved ones. Speaking of love, I painted a quick watercolor study sketch of a room that caught my eye on Instagram. Turns out it was of Megan Hess. Megan is well-known fashion illustrator from Australia. Her illustrations are so beautiful!! Here’s the link to her portfolio. Her beautiful bedroom has gorgeous white draperies, Ralph Lauren black and white stripe wall paper, and a sumptuous cozy chair. Love this room!!
Who knew this was her room? Not me, this is why is so important to post the names of designers, and creatives of their work when it’s shared in social media. I know I have the same fault, but it’s never to late to start, right?
I was commissioned several weeks ago to paint a pink blossom mural for a baby girl nursery. The mommy to be “Loves Pink” and wanted a wall mural of a spring like feeling in the space. So, a pink blossom tree was the perfect idea. She was so happy with the final result. It so satisfying when I am able to deliver the clients vision into fruition. Here is a “sneak peek” of the room. More pictures coming later this week.
If you would like hand painted mural in your baby’s nursery give me a call, or send me an email.

PS: I’ve been busy with my new venture in watercolor painting, that I have ignored the blog post. To stay updated with my projects, please stop by my instagram feed and follow along, I find that it’s easier to post images on the fly.
While searching for pretty storage boxes, (in the cabaret hue) I came across this round lacquered box from the container store, cute right? It would go nicely with a room scheme like that (gorgeous, beautiful, amazing and oh so glamorous) one from the May Fair Hotel in London. The hotel suite has beautiful velvet like wall-coverings in a vivid pink rose hue, ornate (rococo style) headboard trim in gold inset with luxurious black fabric (or leather) sumptuous bedding and linens, to die for bench, and black oriental style side tables, I’d say fit for a queen. I’m inspired! You? My luggage is packed and ready! ;)

I have been thinking about re-doing my closet, it seems it’s never big enough, especially if you’re a fashionista, right? Some builders have a good sense of what a woman’s preference is “Big is never enough” and some, well, they don’t get it!!
I came across these images today while researching for closets design ideas. These are so fabulous I thought I’d share with you . . .
Fabulous in black “Closet Dressing Room”
Decor tip: use decorative mirrors instead of plain ones for a more designer look.
I love this white closet, elegant but not too fussy, except I would choose a crystal chandelier. ;)
Now this is a fun space in pink and cream with some sparkle!
What a beautiful white closet with marble floors and plenty of mirrors to check yourself out as you walk out the door!
Decor Tip: When designing your closets, add mirrors. It not only serves a functional purpose, but also adds visual space, making it appear bigger.
This was a fun post, I hope you enjoyed this closet tour. Check back next week for decor tips. Happy Saturday!
Love this room in deep pink hue (rose color). White molding breaks up the intensity while adding contrast for visual impact. Also, it’s girly but in a grown up way.
How great does this bombe chest look in pink!
Pretty in Pink color palette . . .
